Successful entrepreneurs must be daring and conservative
Hal was a local business owner who prided himself on being a “jack-of-all-trades.” His original business was what was once called a “dime store,” which sold various Taiwanese imported goods, such as yo-yos, rolling pins, Halloween masks, kitchen towels, checkerboards, and other products. After that business, he opened a men’s apparel store down the street from his original shop. In the front, he set up tables and chairs and sold coffee and baked goods that came from the kitchens of his wife, sister, and mother. His entrepreneurial tendencies made him a small fortune.
